Gop Candidate Pledges To Build Border Fence by Dr. WC Douglass (www.healthiernews.com)
By now, you know how I feel about illegal immigration. The Readers Digest version of my view: It's dangerous, it's ruining our country, and I don't like it. And based on the emails I've received on this topic, I'd say that most of you agree with me. And now -- finally! -- it appears that someone in the U.S. Congress agrees with me, too.
Common sense from a member of the United States Congress? I know it's hard to believe, but it's true! Read on!
Republican Congressman Duncan Hunter of California kicked off his presidential candidacy by pledging to begin construction of an 800-plus-mile stretch of fence along the U.S./Mexico border that was authorized in a 2006 bill that he sponsored. As you know, I'm a longtime advocate of a border fence. Even at the high-end price of $8 billion, it's still a damned sight cheaper than dealing with the atrocious negative impact that's caused by just 1.5 percent of the illegals already here in the States.
Hunter has faced the peril of the freeloading foreign hoard first hand -- he represents a district in San Diego, a city that because of its proximity to Mexico is on the frontline of the illegal immigration debate. Better still, he's already had proven success with a security fence built in his district which he says "cut down on the smuggling of people and drugs by more than 90 percent."
It's a credit to him that he's already stood his ground and proven the politically correct naysayers wrong. A fence not only can work -- it could be the last hope we have in stemming the tide of the Mexican Invasion -- the "Reconquista" as the illegals themselves have termed it.
Hunter is a Vietnam veteran -- one of the few presidential candidates to have served in the armed forces -- so it's no wonder that he treats the concept of American rights and freedoms with more care than the standard politician. "I have worn the uniform -- I've been the chairmen of the House Armed Services Committee -- I understand what it takes to keep this country strong," Hunter says.
Unfortunately, both you and I know that Congressman Hunter has the proverbial snowball's chance of winning the Republican presidential nomination -- let alone the presidency in the 2008 election. But at the very least, maybe his tough and determined stance can get some of the other dunderheads in Washington to treat the illegal immigration issue with the seriousness that it deserves. And maybe -- just maybe -- someone in Washington will finally do something about it.
An Immigration Dilemma By Rabbi Shea Hecht December 19, 2007
When I read about Beth Keathley and her immigration problem it spotlighted how much political correctness has over taken common sense.
Beth Keathley of Bloomington, Illinois, was so close to becoming a permanent U.S. citizen that she already enjoyed some of the benefits; she got a Social Security number and an official state identification card. As far as she could tell citizenship would not be far behind. But she made a mistake - one that trips up hundreds of immigrants each year.
Keathley, who has lived in the U.S. on a marriage visa since 2003, was not a citizen when she went to get her state ID card. She probably should have brought a lawyer with her. While in the government office getting the ID card she mistakenly ended up registering to vote. The voter registration form shows she checked a box indicating she was a citizen. She said she does not specifically remember checking that box, though she obviously did. Yet I could understand the confusion. Keathley had her Social Security number and her appointment with immigration, so when someone from the government offered her the chance to vote, why would she think it's illegal to do it?
When she told an immigration officer about it, she was charged with breaking the law and she lost her job. Her mistake could also derail her citizenship, and unless a judge rules in her favor, she could eventually be deported -- uprooting a family that includes her 9-month-old daughter, Sheina.
Keathley had no idea that what she did was illegal. In fact, on the day the Filipino immigrant took part in her first U.S. election last year, she proudly sported an "I voted" lapel pin on her uniform when she showed up for her job.
What bothers me about what happened is that Keathley's alleged crime took place at the secretary of state's facility in Bloomington. In what can only be called a very bad case of political correctness, state employees are prohibited by federal law from seeking confirmation of citizenship before registering people to vote, so a clerk invited Keathley to register to vote as part of the "motor voter" program. Keathley said the clerk saw her Filipino passport as part of the application for the state identification card.
She figured that if a state employee offered her the opportunity to register, it must be all right.
Before the National Voter Registration Act of 1993, also known as the "motor voter" law, registration took place before a sworn elections official, usually inside a local election board office or voting precinct -- places hard to find for even native-born citizens.
Today, in addition to voter registration materials being available at driver's license facilities and other public agencies, you can literally be registered while walking down the street - since there are volunteers with clipboards full of mail-in forms meant to boost voter turnout.
Many immigrants, like Keathley, fall into this trap. The person registering them to vote doesn't ask them if they are citizens or tell them they can't register if they are not and they end up breaking the law. Others are confused, and leave the question unanswered and still receive voter registration cards.
The Keathleys' attorney, Richard Hanus, contends that federal immigration law doesn't consider the possibility that such actions are done by mistake. He hopes to convince a judge that Keathley is of good moral character.
"We're talking about a family unit with a child and a woman with no previous criminal behavior whatsoever who has followed immigration laws to the T," Hanus said. "What took place is, at worst, an innocent mistake and not an act that was done in any malicious way."
Keathley is filled with regret for her actions.
"I think about how this affects us financially and how we have a baby. I'm losing my job, and we don't have enough to eat," she confided, during a moment when her husband was out of the room. "John (her husband) says, 'Just don't think about it.'
Personally, I am stymied by the fact that we have laws that forbid those who register people to vote from questioning their eligibility to do so. I think that mix-ups like Beth Keathley's should be a message that this country, in all fairness, has to rethink its voter registration and immigration laws and base them more on common sense than political correctness.
The Incredible Disappearing Border Fence By Michelle Malkin December 19, 2007
Do you know the story of the Incredible Disappearing Border Fence? It's an object lesson in gesture politics and homeland insecurity. It's a tale of hollow rhetoric, meaningless legislation and bipartisan betrayal. And in the run-up to the Iowa caucuses, it's a helpful learning tool as you assess the promises of immigration enforcement converts now running for president.
Last fall, Democrats and Republicans in Washington responded to continued public outrage over border chaos by passing the "Secure Fence Act." Did you question the timing? You should have. It's no coincidence they finally got off their duffs to respond just before the 2006 midterm elections. Lawmakers vowed grandiosely to keep America safe. The law specifically called for "at least 2 layers of reinforced fencing, the installation of additional physical barriers, roads, lighting, cameras and sensors" at five specific stretches of border totaling approximately 700 miles.
GOP leaders patted themselves on the back for their toughness. President Bush made a huge to-do in signing the bill into law. Never mind the lack of funding for the fence and the failure to address many other immediate reforms that could have been adopted immediately to strengthen immigration enforcement, close deportation loopholes and provide systemic relief at the border without the need for a single brick or bulldozer.
On the very day the bill was signed, open-borders politicians were already moving to water it down. Texas Republican Sens. Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn pushed for "flexibility to choose other options instead of fencing, if needed." Six months after passage of the Secure Fence Act -- now interpreted by Washington as the Flexible Non-Fence Act or, as I call it, the FINO (Fence in Name Only) Act -- 700 miles shrunk to "somewhere in the ballpark" of 370 miles. A 14-mile fence-building project in San Diego was stalled for years by environmental legal challenges and budget shortfalls. The first deadline -- a May 30, 2007 requirement for installation of an "interlocking surveillance camera system" along the border in California and Arizona -- passed unmet. GOP Rep. Duncan Hunter, one of the few Republican presidential candidates to walk the talk on border security, blasted the Bush administration for suffering from "a case of 'the slows' on border enforcement."
More than a year after the law's passage, the citizen watchdog group Grassfire reports that just five miles of double-layer fencing has been built in the first 12 months of implementation of the act. Five lousy miles. The Government Accountability Office claims 70 miles were erected -- but most of that fencing failed to meet the specifications of the law.
Is Congress up in arms? Will there be accountability? Don't make me snort. Instead of demanding that the law be enforced, the pols are sabotaging the law. As part of the omnibus spending package passed this week, House Democrats incorporated Senate Republicans' provisions to remove the two-layer fencing requirements and the specific target list of fencing locations.
GOP Rep. Peter T. King, who sponsored the Secure Fence Act, told the Washington Times: "This is either a blatant oversight or a deliberate attempt to disregard the border security of our country. As it's currently written, the omnibus language guts the Secure Fence Act almost entirely. Quite simply, it is unacceptable."
But so totally, totally predictable.
GOP Minority Leader John Boehner tried to blame the House Democrat majority: "The fact that this was buried in a bloated, 3,500-page omnibus speaks volumes about the Democrats' unserious approach on border security and illegal immigration," he said. "Gutting the Secure Fence Act will make our borders less secure, but it's consistent with the pattern of behavior we've seen all year from this majority." But it's border state Republicans who've been gunning to undermine the law while the ink was still fresh.
To add insult to injury and homeland insecurity upon homeland insecurity, Congress failed to adopt a ban on federal aid to sanctuary cities that prevent government employees and law enforcement officers from asking about immigration status; voted to stall implementation of stricter ID standards at border crossings; and miraculously found enough money to provide $10 million in "emergency" funding for attorneys of illegal aliens.
Next time you hear a leading presidential candidate try to woo you with his nine-point immigration enforcement plan or his secure ID plan or his Secure Borders platform, point to the Incredible Disappearing Border Fence. Poof! That is what happens to election-season homeland security promises. Why would theirs be any different?
Immigrants Must Assimilate Tuesday, May 13, 2008 11:18 AM By: Paul M. Weyrich http://www.newsmax.com/weyrich/illegal_aliens/2008/05/13/95624.html
When my father came from Germany as a 19-year-old, the very first thing he did was to enroll in a class taught at a local public school to learn English.
My aunt told me that he became proficient in English in only six weeks. He wanted to be an American, and to do so, he had to learn the language. Of course, he retained his German heritage. However, assimilation was important to him, as it was to most immigrants.
For years America has drifted away from assimilation, which has become an unspeakable word among the cultural elite. Instead, we are told that we must recognize and celebrate the diversity of various groups without demanding any compromise from them.
This has hurt immigrants more than anyone else because many have become isolated in cultural ghettos without a proper command of English, the American political and legal systems or American history and culture.
That said, it also has fractured American society.
For the past several years pro-illegal immigration groups have rallied at the beginning of May to demand citizenship opportunities for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States and an end to raids on and deportations of these immigrants. This year was no different.
There were protests in California, Michigan, Florida, Texas, Illinois, and other places. One slight change, however, was the attendance: This year the protests were markedly smaller than before.
In 2006, the first year these immigration rallies were held, the attendance was around 1 million people. This year crowds were down to between 300 and 500 per rally.
Many activists were quoted as saying that the drop in attendance was due to fear of government reprisal and deportation among the illegal immigrants themselves. This is highly implausible. Since 2006 the federal government has made little progress in enforcing our borders and deporting illegal immigrants.
What worries me is that all three of the remaining presidential candidates, Sens. John S. McCain III, R-Ariz., Barack H. Obama, D-Ill., and Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., support a general amnesty for illegal immigrants. And this amnesty is without any prior successful closure of the U.S.-Mexican border that would halt further waves of immigrants.
McCain pays lip-service to border security and assimilation on his campaign web site. He states, “A secure border will contribute to addressing our immigration problem most effectively if we also recognize the importance of a flexible labor market to keep employers in business and our economy on top, and recognize the importance of assimilation of our immigrant population, which includes learning English, American history and civics, and respecting the values of a democratic society.”
Obama’s Web site is similar, listing border security as his main priority, followed by “bring[ing] people out of the shadows” to become citizens. Clinton uses much more flowery language but essentially posits the same message.
It should be noted that illegal immigrants do not live in the shadows. They attend American schools, use our hospital emergency rooms as though they were a general practitioner’s office and work in specific businesses.
If the federal government wanted to enforce our current immigration laws, which are sufficient to solve the problem, it could. But there is no willpower to do so.
I suspect that the reason for the drop in attendance at the rallies is not a new burst of patriotism for America among prior attendees but because the issue is not as pressing.
What we need to do is return the debate to the topic of assimilation, of learning to speak English, of the value of becoming a citizen, and of pride in a country that provides immigrants from around the world with more opportunities for success than any other country on earth.
The latter will be the most difficult. Immigrants need to assimilate to American culture but if we are to demand that they do we must first restore a proper sense of patriotism among American citizens.
How can we demand that foreigners respect our country when our own elites so vehemently criticize and disdain everything connected to American history, culture, ideals, governance, and traditions?
A return to assimilation and a coherent culture will not begin until we put our own house in order. We cannot expect others to respect us when many Americans themselves are ashamed of their country.
"Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist."
Striking changes in Arizona as illegal immigrants flee the state Posted By Rachel Alexander
Arizona is leading the nation in local enforcement of laws against illegal immigration. As illegal immigrants leave the state, the state's most serious problems such as traffic congestion and the expense of teaching English Language Learner classes are dissipating.
Since Arizona's local law enforcement began enforcing illegal immigration laws and an employer sanctions law went into effect, illegal immigrants have been fleeing the state in large numbers. The effects have been far-ranging. Commuters are reporting fewer vehicles on the freeways, shortening their rush-hour commutes. What had become a serious transportation problem in Arizona is losing its urgency. English Learner Language (ELL) students started dropping out of school. This helped end a confrontation between the state legislature and a liberal federal judge who had ordered the state to spend more money on ELL classes.
Fewer illegal immigrants are using hospital emergency rooms, so waiting times have decreased. Although the rest of the country is in an economic slump, unemployment is going down in Arizona, from 4.5% in January to 4.1% in March. Day laborers loitering outside of Home Depot and other stores have mostly disappeared, ending months of confrontation between illegal immigrant sympathizers and protesters. Desert lands near the border are returning to their pristine condition and the wildlife is coming back. Identity theft and car thefts are decreasing. No one showed up on May 1 to march in immigrant rallies.
With illegal immigrants leaving, the state will see huge savings as fewer illegal immigrants use social welfare programs and the cost of arresting, prosecuting, incarcerating and deporting them decreases. Arizona is facing one of the worst budget deficits ever, looming as high as $2 billion in 2009, but the situation may resolve itself.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas are leading the local law enforcement efforts in Arizona against illegal immigration. Arizona is also home to State Representative Russell Pearce, who is responsible for spearheading possibly more laws against illegal immigration than any other state representative in the country. It is also home to Chris Simcox, President of the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps. Other counties around the state are beginning to follow the lead of Maricopa County, signing agreements with I.C.E. to permit their law enforcement agencies to arrest illegal immigrants. Cochise County Attorney Ed Rheinheimer intends to prosecute illegal immigrants for trespassing on public lands. Mesa mayor Keno Hawker recently wrote an op-ed in the East Valley Tribune praising Sheriff Joe Arpaio's sweeps of illegal immigrants. Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik bypassed the Pima County Supervisors when they refused to authorize him to add two Border Patrol agents to his border crime unit, and added them anyways.
Although Arizona's Democrat Governor Janet Napolitano has vetoed most illegal immigration bills since 2002 when she entered office, Arizonans have bypassed her by sending initiatives directly to the ballot. In 2004, voters passed four illegal immigration measures with over 70% yes margins. A law targeting drophouses was signed into law earlier this month. An even stricter employer sanctions measure is currently underway to be on the ballot this fall.
Arizona's illegal immigrants are fleeing to sanctuary cities like San Francisco and states with less enforcement and laws prohibiting illegal immigration like Nebraska, Iowa, and Maryland. Since one out of every 10 illegal immigrant is a felon, the result is felons are disproportionately moving to these places.
Granted there are benefits that immigrants bring to our country. But those benefits are outweighed by the negatives when the immigrants cross illegally. There are too many rules, laws, traditions, and practices in society that conflict with illegal immigrants trying to make a living. Arizona's experiment may end up resolving the illegal immigration problem satisfactorily for all, because once the fiscal expense of illegal immigrants is brought down, revising the laws to permit more immigrants to enter the country legally will become more attractive and realistic.

In The United States: Too Many People A BOOK REVIEW By Frosty Wooldridge November 19, 2007
This past week, an email arrived that marks a poignant aspect of America’s greatest dilemma in the early years of the 21st century.
In this country, most of our citizens and all of our leaders stick their heads into the sand, bury their brains in mud and talk about everything but the overpopulation dilemma that defines America in the 21st century. Additionally, by avoiding it at all costs, it gains greater speed like a Rocky Mountain avalanche, like an asteroid headed for the center of our planet and like the Titanic speeding toward that fateful iceberg in the North Atlantic.
In spite of one of the most educated citizenry on the planet, our nation drives itself, at increasing rates of speed, over a cliff. Religious groups refuse to talk about it as if Galileo returned to expose their folly of thinking that the universe revolved around Earth. They placed him under house arrest for the rest of his life and he promised not to advocate the sun as the center of this solar system under threat of death.
Political groups avoid it like the plague. Yet it’s coming as surely as the dawn!
A lady named Jacqueline in Arizona wrote, “Consider my state, dry and water poor, which grew 40 percent between 1990-2000 with a 2000 population of 4,057,208. The 2006 estimate shows us at a 6,166,318 population and no restraint in sight. It is not only the presidential candidates who refuse to discuss population, but environmentalists, political parties, and think-tanks much less the Catholic Church or other religious tribes to mention this so obvious problem.
“I recently held a meeting to talk about immigration and its relationship to how rapidly the U.S. is growing, and showed Roy Beck's VCR "Immigration by the Numbers.” The County Democratic Party Chairperson walked out calling it ‘a scare tactic.’”
Hundreds of well-meaning readers write me telling me that I’m wrong about overpopulation. They tell me it’s a food distribution problem where millions wouldn’t starve daily if they enjoyed better food distribution.
What do they all share in common? Their intellectual grids remain imbedded within the security of the United States of America in the year 2007. Yes! It’s safe here, right now, in this moment. Their emotions remain stuck in paradigms of growth, expansion and unending development. They can’t think past their noses.
The United States expects an added 100 million people by 2040. No even blinks at the ramifications facing our children. It’s almost as if we’re contestants on “The Price is Right” and we keep spinning the wheel to hit on the same category: “DUMB”. While attackers of population stabilization enjoy enough gasoline, natural gas and food today—they don’t comprehend their children’s reality.
Of course, the residents of the Southeast and in Georgia, specifically, suffer a drought that will prove a national disaster for millions. Never mind that Georgia will grow five to seven million more people in 35 to 40 years! Never think about Arizona’s projected growth to 15.3 million! Forget about California adding its projected 42 million people in America’s version of Bangladesh and China!
The imminent population expert, Lindsey Grant wrote, “TOO MANY PEOPLE: The Case for Reversing Growth” with a sobering look into what our civilization faces in the near future. He doesn’t use ‘scare’ tactics. He doesn’t exaggerate.
Grant, like Galileo, Newton, Einstein, Copernicus and other great minds before him—presents the facts, the obvious and the reality-check needed in this century. We cannot keep our ‘sustainable growth’ façade much longer. Too much reality piles up on our front door steps. Even the Pope at some point must change his stance or lose millions more to overpopulation consequences. No one can keep running, hiding or pretending.
The human raced quadrupled from 1.6 billion to 6.7 billion in the last century. The United States jumped from 75 million to 300 million.
Grant’s book proves profound! You cannot hide from its methodical realities. It’s the easiest way to make yourself an expert as to our dilemma: “Too Many People: Case for Reversing Growth” ISBN # 0-929765-91-5 @7.95 www.amazon.com
“The migration pressure is a product of overcrowding on the land, of unemployment and wage differentials, all of which are driven by population growth,” Grant said. “Those driving forces would subside if somehow the growth should stop and turn around.”
For anyone that thinks Mexico’s massive immigration into the United States will stop, they prove sadly mistaken. Current population predictions show Mexico adding 200 million people in this century. Therefore, America can expect relentless, unending migration from Mexico into the tens of millions. That alone will overload our capacity to sustain any population as to water, food and resources.
“We live in an exquisitely balanced ecosystem,” Grant said. “We are tampering with that balance in the pursuit of more food production, and we do not know what we are doing.”
As to Georgia’s drought, “Can we imagine how much less tense life would be, and how much less deadly droughts would be in arid areas if there were one third the population and therefore three times as much water per capita as now, coupled with modern capabilities to manage it?”
Grant said, “If world population were two billion, one third its present size, 50 million tons of marine fish would mean half again as much, per capita, as the present take from all fisheries. We would not be putting nearly so many pollutants into the sea.”
For anyone seeing the degradation of their air and water, their communities via congestion, Brown Cloud and gridlock—this book allows you to wrap your arms around our dilemma. Grant said, “We are already at war with the biosphere that supports us. More than any other proposed solution, a solution on the demand side—population—offers an effective way to end or ameliorate the problem.”
Grant illustrates our immigration dilemma: “Two thirds of this country’s growth will result from immigration…given the magnitudes involved, an effort to mitigate the population growth of the less developed world by absorbing it is to put us in their predicament, without making a significant contribution to alleviating their plight.”
Grant covers Population and Migration; Economic Growth; Irrigation and Water; Meat and Fish; Climate; Energy; Pollution; Human Survival; New American Mindset in this 102 page book. By reading it, you will find yourself wiser, smarter and more inspired to act.
How do I know Grant speaks from reality? I’ve seen what he writes about. I stepped out of the limited thinking grid of our ‘apparent’ wealth in this country to see the accelerating tabulation human toll around the world. This book proves a necessity for anyone with children. By following his suggestions, the human race might stand a chance at making it through the 21st century intact.
Black America Tricked By Obama & White Politicians By Frosty Wooldridge January 21, 2008
“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Senator Barack Obama voted for the June 2007 immigration amnesty that doubled current immigration levels to two million annually. He voted for complete amnesty for in excess of 20 million illegal aliens. He voted for the Dream Act that took millions of dollars out of the hands of black American college kids’ hands—only to give it to illegal alien students. Fortunately, senators under enormous pressure from American voters defeated both bills.
What’s the problem here? Barack Obama represents the best of African-Americans. Yet, he fails black America miserably! He stands in favor of flooding this country with lower wage labor that destroys any chance for African-Americans to gain a living wage.
What happens from his actions as well as white politicians?
On Friday, January 18, 2008, Rocky Mountain News journalist Tillie Fong reported, “Homeless given shelter from bitter cold” in Denver Colorado. A picture showed 95 percent of the homeless as Black Coloradan Americans on their way to the shelter.
National figures show over 1.1 million homeless on our streets at any one moment in America. Over 13 million American minority children live below the poverty level.
So, why won’t Obama and white politicians address the fact that in many areas of America, 50 percent of Black Americans cannot find a job? More troubling, 40 to 50 percent of black students fail to graduate from high school depending on state to state statistics. As their family units breaks down, 50 percent suffer out-of-wedlock birth rates?
That dilemma drives more black Americans into welfare rolls, soup kitchens and homeless shelters. It places their children into survival mode of drugs, violence and economic dead ends.
Barbara Coe, of www.ccir.net in California, sent me a distressing notice last week concerning African-Americans.
It read, “In many areas of the country, male African-American unemployment hovers around fifty percent. Many black voters, who have the most to lose, support illegal aliens. Many black politicians support massive immigration and amnesty for illegal aliens even though mass unskilled immigration has dramatic impact on their constituents. While many black families live in poverty throughout America, black politicians are eager to import more poor people who will compete head-to-head for jobs at the lower end of the economic scale. African-Americans are getting hosed by their own politicians on a grand scale.
”Legal and illegal immigration has undercut blacks from the jobs they once held in meat plants, service industries and on construction crews. In many cases those were union jobs that paid good wages with full benefits. Now those jobs go to illegal aliens who work for pennies above the minimum wage. Yet from black politicians nary a peep is heard. One explanation is that many black politicians are wealthy and couldn’t care less about the working stiff. Having to compete for jobs with 12-30 million illegal aliens is something few black politicians will be faced with but millions of black and low income Americans will.”
Why do George Bush and Congress support 572,000 troops on 700 bases in 120 countries around the world that cost U.S. taxpayers over $1 trillion annually—but neglect American citizens as collateral damage inside our own country? Ask yourself why Bush supported an immigration bill that doubled current immigration from one to two million annually?
Why do our leaders drown this country with millions of low wage workers when our own citizens hang in the balance? Why prop up Iraq with $2 billion spent weekly for a country that doesn’t want us on their soil? Why do we do it without end while our citizens suffer terrific hardship within our own country?
The irony brings me to Dr. Martin Luther King’s quote! “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
Why would Obama ignore the most vulnerable Americans? Why do Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson say nothing and do nothing about unrelenting, unending immigration? What about Dingell, Jefferson, Young and other Black leaders twiddling their thumbs while their constituents languish in soup kitchens, homeless shelters or cardboard boxes under bridges as you read this column?
Two great African-Americans stand up where Obama retreats. Talk show host Terry Anderson and political candidate Ted Hayes in Los Angeles, California speak to black Americans on what they face from the Mexican invasion.
For the past several years, Hayes, a 56-year-old lean and lanky activist, tried to inspire blacks against illegal immigration with fiery appearances on national TV, protest marches, civil disobedience and leadership of Choose Black America, an anti-illegal immigration organization launched and financially supported by the Federation for American Immigration Reform.
"Illegal immigration is the greatest threat to blacks since slavery," Hayes declared at a recent Choose Black America meeting in Inglewood. "Immigrants got our jobs, the hospitals, the schools. Black folks can't compete."
If we continue flooding our country with the poor of other countries, we’ll mushroom the juggernaut of poor in our nation. If we continue ignoring poor Americans while we meddle in other countries’ business—we fail the original intent of our founders of this Constitutional Republic.
One last thought! If we continue adding the poor of other countries, at some point, they grow old without any means of supporting themselves—which will create a whole new form of class poverty. It will prove intractable and unsolvable beyond soup kitchens, homeless shelters and boxes under bridges.
Something grows horribly wrong with the United States of America.
STATE OF THE UNION: WHAT BUSH DIDN’T TELL US By Frosty Wooldridge February 4, 2008
Last week, President Bush gave Congress his last State of the Union speech. Proving that the presidency erodes a man--he looked worn, haggard, colorless and beaten. His words rang vacant, hollow and scratched like fingernails across the chalkboard of Americans’ sense of honesty.
In truth, he looked every bit the part of a new book: “The Bush Tragedy” by Jacob Weisberg. Newsweek reported, “As Bush’s presidency nears its end, prospects for the Republicans look bleak…GOP candidates running in the wake of his wreckage can learn much from his failures…he squandered the peoples’ trust.”
On January 20, 2001, he raised his right hand and placed his left hand on the Holy Bible, “I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” (Article 2, section 1)
He repeated the same ceremony for a second time.
Concerning the basics of our U.S. Constitution: he lied to us, he violated his oath of office and created a boondoggle of a legacy as he mounted $3 trillion onto our national debt. He oversaw the loss of millions of jobs, accelerating trade deficits and foisted a complete fraud on us as to national security from terrorism with his failure to secure our borders.
What about how he affected American families? What did he do to us on a personal level? What didn’t he do to preserve, protect and enhance our lives?
I’ll tell you how! Last week, in Denver, Colorado, 21 year old U.S. Army soldier Duncan Crookston died after five months of misery. He suffered both legs blown off, his right arm amputated and his left hand cut from his body. He suffered horrific burns. His young wife sat by his bedside for five months only to see Crookston’s life slip away.
That same sickening scenario repeated itself 3,900 times in the past six years since George Bush declared an unlawful war against a sovereign nation--after he strutted across an aircraft carrier with a banner that read, “Mission Accomplished!” It means 3,900 family members trusted Bush to carry out his oath of office, but instead, he deceived them and us--into a vain war. He maintains his corrupt war with no plan for withdrawal—only more death and chaos.
One mother said, “Why is Bush preparing for his daughter’s wedding while I plan for my son’s funeral?”
While he prolongs his personal war in Iraq, he protects the Korean border with 35,000 U.S. troops while allowing millions of illegal aliens and uncounted terrorists full access across our southern borders for the past seven years. Any president with a brain larger than a prairie dog’s would have sealed our southern borders on 9/12/01 as the oath of office demands.
While he kills or maims our kids in Iraq, thousands of our citizens suffered death from illegal aliens who drive drunk, murder, rape, rob and distribute drugs. All of those nightmares would have been prevented if he had followed through on his oath of office by securing our borders. (Article IV, Section 4)
The other results of his Iraq War? He poured $600 billion and up to $1 trillion down a rat hole in Iraq and Afghanistan that hasn’t improved those countries one iota—and hasn’t caught Bin Laden or made this country safer. He killed hundreds of thousands of civilians. He inflamed the rest of the world against us. Over 75 percent of the troops from other countries pulled out. He’s maimed and amputated 29,000 of our finest kids who trusted his felonious judgment. Every year U.S. Army military suicides rise with 2007 topping at 121 kids. Dr. William Polk, author of “Violent Politics” told Congress last week, “More than 500,000 of our troops will need a lifetime of mental health care following their multiple deployments in Iraq.”
Bush spent 30 minutes insisting on how much progress we’re making in Iraq. Any drunken fool at a bar would lament, “What a crock of horse manure!”
Instead of taking care of the economic business of our nation, he watched annual trade deficits grow to $700 billion. He forced our country to borrow $2 billion daily to float our vacuous economy. Bush watched 10 million more illegal aliens cross our borders while he said, “They come to do the jobs that Americans won’t do.” Migrants do those jobs at slave wages, but they enjoy anchor babies at our expense, free breakfasts and lunches in our schools on our tax dollar and 400,000 convicted felon illegals enjoy free room and board in our prisons. Meanwhile our middle class sank into a new ‘poor class’ here in America.
The facts show that those migrants, now 20 million strong, degraded our culture through lack of assimilation, and now, because of Bush’s non-enforcement policies, we must tolerate, “Press 1 for Spanish or 2 for English.” We must tolerate millions of illegals marching in our streets demanding rights they do not possess in our country, which they unlawfully entered.
In Michigan last week, Governor Jennifer Granholm begged companies and corporations to move to Michigan where she promised no taxes. Her pleas resulted from Bush ignoring 3.1 million manufacturing and IT jobs leaving our country through insourcing, offshoring and outsourcing for the past seven years.
Fallout while Bush languished in the presidency: 1. Greatest foreclosure fraud on housing in American history. 2. No national energy conservation policy. 3. No movement toward solving climate change. 4. No immigration policy that leads to a stable U.S. population. 5. Nothing advanced to employ 14 million unemployed Americans. 6. Horrific $9 trillion debt. 7. $3.50 a gallon gas.
8. Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare bankrupting. 8. War on Drugs a total and complete failure and waste of $560,000 billion during his watch. 9. Worked to dissolve America’s borders by signing the Security, Prosperity Partnership that will destroy our sovereignty and force us into the North American Union with Canada and Mexico. 10. Patriot Act took away individual liberty.
George Bush’s legacy stems from his lack of integrity. Our predicament stems from his violation of his oath office. This country may not survive the aforementioned items not mentioned in his State of the Union address. He proves himself the most inept, incompetent and disastrous president since the inception of this Republic.
Are we appalled enough? Are we incited enough to step up to the plate in the coming months by insisting on a president who values and upholds the sacred Constitution of the United States of America?

Methods For Average Citizens To Stop Immigration Invasion By Frosty Wooldridge November 26, 2007
Do you notice presidential candidates rendering lip service to the immigration invasion? Do you see how they shuck, jive and duck the questions? Do you watch them dance around the answers—never giving a definite response?
Sick of their obfuscation? Tired of their dodging it? Angry at this continued invasion of our country?
Presidential candidate Tom Tancredo said, “Western civilization is at stake over massive, unrelenting immigration.”
Added to that, our language, culture, educational systems, law enforcement, medical systems and prisons stand in the cross-hairs of extinction. We either stop it or legal-illegal immigration buries us.
How can you, average Joe and Mary Citizen change history in favor of your children’s future?
In the following information, you may enjoy media strategies created by top flight journalist Kathleene Parker of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Suggested Media Strategy:
Parker said, “I consider nothing more important to the immigration-population movement than forcing the topic into the news media because until the media allow a topic to become a key issue, change does not happen.
“I needn’t tell most of you that many in the media advocate for growth and on the rare occasions when they do utter the “P” word, it is in the context of the birth dearth.
“I can assure those here today that all of the environmental/immigration battles I have been involved in have, in large measure, been won in the media, forcing elected representatives to reverse or adapt courses they were on before public scrutiny. I’ll also add that one reason immigration was a hot-button issue ready to explode into the forefront on 9-11 was because NumbersUSA.com and other groups and individuals had quietly laid much of the groundwork through the invaluable tool of guest commentaries and, more importantly, letters to the editor so that the events did not occur before a totally uninformed public.”
What we face!
“There is a great deal of stark data, domestically and internationally, with which I am sure most of you are familiar, but that this is not being reported on massively illustrates what is either the profound ignorance of the media or the blatant prejudice of the media. As one environmental reporter recently told me he was aware of that data but found discussing it “too polarizing” and would therefore continue to boycott the topic. That, incidentally, reflects a standard of journalism—or lack thereof—that I find professionally indefensible and arrogant and that says he, not his readers, will decide what they need to know. Bluntly spoken, he is acting as censor!”
That’s the bad news; the good news is history repeating.
Parker said, “About 12 years ago, I was working with Roy Beck’s Numbers USA attempting to get immigration into print any way we could, since it was a topic being ignored and, sometimes, actively glossed over or distorted by reporters. At the time, Roy used faxes or the early internet to send action alerts to a network of grassroots letter writers and activists, such as me, to write letters to newspapers.
“I soon shared Roy’s belief that as soon as you tell ten thousand or twenty thousand people something, it ceases being a secret! I knew we were succeeding as I increasingly saw other people speaking out on immigration. Soon, a dynamic was obvious that continues today: an informed public on one hand and many politicians and many in the news media, on the other, only reluctantly accepting the overwhelming tide of public opinion.”
Parker shows you critical points on how you change history:
“That brings us to a critical point of journalism,” she said. “There are three parts of any newspaper—still a key source of information for many people and certainly read by politicians—that are read by the most people: the sports pages, the comics and the letters to the editor. Therefore, please do not underestimate the value of a letter to the editor. IT IS FAR MORE VALUABLE THAN PAID ADVERTISING OR EVEN NEWS REPORTS BECAUSE MORE PEOPLE SEE IT. If a choice must be made, always write a letter published over a guest commentary, as it will be read, due to brevity, by far more people—by a factor of 10.”
Parker gives the following advice:
Absolutely confine letters to the length specified by the editorial page. If no limit is set, never, ever write a letter of over 200 words!
Decide at the front end on two to three key points and confine yourself to those.
The more dramatic, definable and defensible letter points are the better.
To increase your chances of getting printed, always lead the letter with a reference to something just published in the publication you are writing to.
Always write your letter within one to two days after your news-hook story appears. Sooner the better!
Recognize the value of holidays to get things into print. Particularly stark times for many newspapers are the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays when they are low on staff, news is often slow, people aren’t writing letters and editors must pickup huge amount of info from the wire just to fill the space.
If you see a particular local controversy, such as traffic problems, water shortages, sprawl, a development controversy, you can sometimes use that as a reason to approach an editor with a well-written guest commentary.

Do you write one letter and forget it? No! You write weekly, monthly, constantly. If you haven’t noticed, we have only 13 months before the White House sees a new occupant that will be even worse than George Bush. If that man or woman allows a general amnesty for 20 to 30 million illegal aliens, your children’s lives hang in the balance.
In all social change, it takes ‘change makers’ and ‘opinion leaders’ to lead the way. Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Susan B. Anthony, Eleanor Roosevelt, ML King (whether you like him or not) and other Americans created change. They didn’t do it by complaining—they took action!
They created ‘critical mass’ that manifested in social movements such as women’s right to vote or people of color enjoying equal rights. Today, we’re engaged in a national crisis so huge that it will devastate this country’s future on many fronts.
If you do nothing, your children reap the whirlwind of consequences. In the end, everything you do or don’t do—counts!
Illegal Alien Migrants: Why Here, Why They Stay By Frosty Wooldridge January 31, 2008
In this third and final interview, Michael Folkerth’s book: “THE BIGGEST LIE EVER BELIEVED” exposes America’s greatest crisis—unending growth.
Trying to corner Clinton, Obama, Romney and McCain into addressing America’s immigration invasion proves harder than arm wrestling an octopus! Trying to get our apathetic American public to force definitive answers from this presidential quartet proves tougher than bringing an Egyptian mummy back to life.
Once the full impact of adding endless millions of people hits, the devastation to American society will make Hurricane Katrina look like a Sunday picnic. It’ll make Mount Saint Helens look like a puff of smoke from Humphrey Bogart’s cigarette. It’ll make Briteny Spears’ life resemble a “Father Knows Best” happy ending. What’s the big difference for our entire society? Immigration, both legal and illegal, will create carnage and consequences that affect every state forever.
In other words, before the Titanic hit the iceberg, all seemed well. Once it hit, everything changed for the worst.
Folkerth examines why our corporations demand unending immigration to force-feed growth. “Today we will once more work through the actual root cause of illegal immigration as it relates to the economy,” he said. “To avoid having to descend into the dismal science of conventional economics, we’ll apply my patented ‘Mikeronomics’ and take a shortcut to the truth.
“Consumer spending represents two-thirds of our domestic U.S. economy, and is responsible for some 62 percent of the jobs that have thus far, not gone off to China. The necessity of keeping such consumer spending whipped up to a brisk pace is well up in the red zone of the alert scale for those seeking reelection.
“And, since our economy is based on the impossible basis of ever increasing growth, the necessity of adding a few million new consumers to our buyers club from time to time becomes imperative. Here’s the rub. The current birthrate in the U.S. doesn’t get the consumption job done.
“No problem; we have the I.N.S., often thought to mean Immigration and Naturalization Service, but actually meaning “Instant Necessary Shoppers,” which allows 1.2 million foreign folks to join our club each and every year, legally.
“However, with all things ever expanding some years back we reached that unfortunate, but predicable, point where the birthrate and legal immigration combined didn’t trip the trigger.”
That’s when the brilliant, foghorn-leghorn rooster, alcoholic Senator Teddy Kennedy of Massachusetts dumped the 1965 Immigration Reform Act onto the American public. He raised immigration rates from a stable 175,000 annually to 1.1 to 1.5 million. That single bill drove consumption into high gear. Corporations busted unions and wages declined because millions of immigrants moved into the work place to undercut Americans. Soon, illegal aliens followed to work slave wages off the books. Result? Farmers and corporations raked-in unheard-of profits. Our economic engine roared with production, consumption, sales and pollution.
“We also reached the point where the good citizens of this country were reluctant that immigration continued at high numbers,” Folkerth said. “Therefore we had a conundrum. Congress doesn’t like conundrums. It forced them to either tell the American people that the false economy that they have come to love and enjoy was no longer an option, or let a few thousand illegal immigrants sneak in each night to reinvigorate the activity at the mall.
“Given the above choice and with election coming up, the decision for a person who is desperately seeking reelection becomes quite clear; never face south.
“We have noticed that nearly all politicians have denied the personal knowledge that 12 to 20 million illegals lived and worked our country. I remind you that these are the same politicians who are protecting you from terrorists sneaking into the country.
“If a federal or state politician says he or she didn’t know these folks were here, throw the bums out. If they did know it and didn’t tell us, throw the bums out.
“They all knew we had illegal immigration because it was encouraged. Allowing thousands of illegal people to invade the U.S. on a daily basis and remain here for years without any measure of enforcement against such activity, is encouragement; plain and simple.
“Imagine a consumption based society that is already teetering on the brink of recession due to a lack of consumer spending. Teetering may not be the correct word when our president and Congress are so desperate for Americans to spend money, that both agree to sending checks out to the good taxpayers (and non-taxpayers) to provide the money for that purpose.
“Continue to imagine that in the middle of this mess, 12 to 20 million of those consumers would leave overnight, due to being deported. Politicians imagine this event occurring all the time; it’s called a hideous nightmare.
“Now, given the above information, can you spell a m n e s t y? Your faithful representatives sure can. After all, if there is a fine, it’s not amnesty, it’s then spelled ‘collusion.’
“So what’s the answer? Should we just continue to increase population until the whole thing flies into a million pieces? Should we keep on expanding until our natural resources can no longer support us? Or should we work toward a sustainable economy that is not based on ever expanding population growth?
“Unfortunately, it is possible to add millions of people to these United States. However, have you ever seen pictures that exhibit the living conditions of the average people in China and India? A picture is worth a thousand words. That picture may well represent Middle America, just a few years down the road.”
To be certain, it’s not pretty.
Mutterings About What’S Left Of Our Country By Frosty Wooldridge December 10, 2007 NewsWithViews.com
Last month, I wrote a column, “What would happen if 20 million illegal aliens vacated America?” Michael Savage read it verbatim to his 12-20 million listeners. Hundreds of emails arrived in my inbox with ideas for improving America once we oust illegal aliens from this country. Additionally, I asked for ideas from readers for actions to save this country from incompetent and corrupt senators and the current administration. A forthcoming column renders a compilation of your ideas to bring America back to its original excellence.
A lady in Idaho wrote about her experiences that proved worth sharing:
“There is hardly a single person we know who doesn't harbor some ill will against illegal immigration be it just via general conversation or out-and-out actively campaigning for enforcement of present-day laws,” Merilee Dunn said. “No one I talk with seems to feel any new regulations are needed in the least. Simply put, why should we allow Congress to waste precious time coming up with new laws that won't be enforced? The majority feels extreme pressure simply needs to be put on all politicians, via elections if need be, to see to it that laws already on the books are enforced to the maximum levels of the law.
“I also have a few rather radical "friends" who feel the southern borders of this country should have far more than a fence put up. Their suggestions include towers every few thousand feet or so armed with 50 caliber machine guns and manned by regiments of the military with orders to "shoot to kill.” Ask questions later! I have days when I'm hard pressed to come up with any argument against their reasoning. It would certainly prove to be an ultimate method of "birth control" in the process.”
When I think of the thousands of Americans killed by drunk Mexican illegal alien drivers, drug distribution to our children, schools destroyed, hospitals bankrupted, prisons bursting with convicted illegal aliens—I cannot help but understand those who would like to respond with violence.
“Until such time as employers of illegal immigrants are held accountable for hiring them, nothing will change,” Dunn said. “I don't care if it is some "rich bitch" who hires Mexican maids and gardeners ... hang her ass and put her behind bars for awhile. Laws should be changed to require a mandatory jail sentence. Not just fines! They can share a cell with Mexican gang members for even more proof of the error of their ways. Perhaps, then, they will realize what is coming across the border with their maids and gardeners.
“I don't restrict my thinking to just the "rich bitches.” If a company like J.R. Simplot in Idaho is found to have even ONE illegal Mexican working for them even in the capacity of harvesting potatoes...well, Mr. J. R. Simplot (Or the C.E.O. of the company) should be the one who serves time behind bars. I'm sure he would get the message down through the ranks it is never to happen again.
No jobs - no problem. The solution is as simple as that.
“I would like to see a full scale auditing of US employers, both small and large, to examine their employee files and confirm documentation of every single employee they have. In all the years I completed and signed off on I-9 forms, never once were those records ever questioned. I can tell you from very personal experience, I've seen them signed off with no more than a lousy photo copy of a Social Security Card or other so-called required identification. As my career put me in the position of being the "signer" on such documents for many years, you can be sure I required original documentation.
“You might say I "inherited" a good number of problems in going to work for new companies where their employee files were anything close to being "up to snuff.” They certainly were after I'd been there a very short time. Funny how a number of my bosses backed down immediately faced with the fact I was more than willing to drop a dime on them.”
The mutterings, angry feelings, frustrations and national tensions created by this Mexican invasion of our homeland grow by the day. As Pat Buchanan said in his latest book, “Day of Reckoning”: “Our American culture is collapsing and the nation is being deconstructed along the lines of race and class. A fiscal crisis looms as the unfunded mandates of Social Security and Medicare remain unaddressed. All these crises are hitting America at once -- a perfect storm of crises.”
Buchanan contends:
Pax Americana, the era of U.S. global dominance, is over. A struggle for global hegemony has begun among the United States, China, a resurgent Russia and radical Islam. Bush’s invasion of Iraq was a product of hubris and of ideology, a secular religion of “democratism,” to which Bush was converted in the days following 9/11. Torn asunder by a culture war, America has now begun to break down along class, ethnic and racial lines. The greatest threat to U.S. sovereignty and independence is the scheme of a global elite to erase America’s borders and merge the USA, Mexico and Canada into a North American Union. Free trade is shipping jobs, factories and technology to China and plunging America into permanent dependency and unpayable debt. One of every six U.S. manufacturing jobs vanished under Bush. As U.S. wages are stagnant, corporate CEOs are raking in rising pay and benefits 400 to 500 times that of their workers. The Third World invasion through Mexico is a graver threat to our survival as one nation than anything happening in Afghanistan or Iraq. By 2060, America will add 167 million people and 105 million immigrants will be here, triple the 37 million today. Hispanics will be over 100 million in 2050 and concentrated in a Southwest most Mexicans believe belongs to them.
If you think Dunn’s frustrations mirror yours, your children will be caught up in the maelstrom of Buchanan’s sobering predictions. Our future, if we don’t stop this legal and illegal immigration invasion, will be a living nightmare for all of us. And, as I write these columns, I’m befuddled as to why no one wants to admit, talk about or deal with that added 167 million people being added to our country! It will prove one hellacious “Human Katrina.”
Alien Nation: Immigration And America By Frosty Wooldridge November 15, 2007 NewsWithViews.com
Over a year ago, Peter Brimelow, author of “Alien Nation” as well as director of Vdare, addressed the Philadelphia Society. Brimelow addressed immigration and its ongoing ramifications for the United States of America.
He said, “To begin at the end, we're talking about "What is an American?" My answer is that Americans just are— they are Americans. We're told this is a nation of immigrants. But I say it's a nation. Immigration is not as central to the American experience as a lot of romantic intellectuals would like you to think.
“We should see serious immigration reform in this country—by which I mean an immigration moratorium.
“Will Rogers once said, “It’s not what people don't know that hurts them, it's what they know that ain't true.”
“When I came in to look at the technical literature on the economics of immigration in the early 1990s, I was amazed to find that the consensus among labor economists— the consensus— was that the great inflow triggered by the 1965 Act, and the simultaneous breakdown of the southern border, is not beneficial in aggregate. It brings no net aggregate economic benefit to native-born Americans.
“In a micro-study, the NRC found the cost to every native-born family in California of the immigrant presence, as of 1996, was something like a thousand dollars a year. Every native-born family is subsidizing the immigrant presence by a thousand dollars a year. Essentially, Americans are subsidizing their own displacement.”
For the past seven years, I’ve sat with Peter Brimelow at conferences in Washington, DC. He’s an immigrant with a greater perspective than most Americans can muster. He takes nothing for granted. He creates discussion. This speech gives you a smarter understanding of our immigration dilemma. As I’ve said many times in the past, we’re displacing ourselves out of our own country from a line of immigrants that never ends.
Brimelow continued, “Now, actually, I would say something similar may be true— although we don't know, because it hasn't been properly researched— of last Great Wave of immigration between 1880-1920.
“We were always told, particularly by the descendents of that Great Wave of immigration, that "immigrants built America." But, actually, it may be more like they got on a rolling band wagon. The thing was already underway before they arrived.
“Even though immigration doesn't raise the per capita income of the native-born, it does cause immense redistribution between the native-born communities— amounting at that point to about two percent of GDP shifted from labor to capital:
1. It is extremely beneficial to have immigration—for people who go to country clubs and vote Republican. It is extremely unbeneficial if you are a blue collar worker. It is particularly unbeneficial for African Americans. I am about to publish on VDARE.COM an article that shows black unemployment has actually risen— risen— since this recovery started 13 quarters ago.
Booker T. Washington was highly aware of this. His famous Atlanta exposition speech was half about how blacks had to "cast down your bucket where you are", and acquire technical skills. But the other half was a passionate appeal— it's actually one of the great speeches in the language— to whites, and particularly to Southerners, to stop mass immigration, what he described as people of "strange habits" and "foreign tongues," because it was displacing blacks.
2. Now the second thing that people think they know about immigration, which isn't true— I guess Professor Hanson illustrated it last night. He referred at one point to America being a "multiracial nation."
Before 1965 America stood at 90 percent white; it shouldn't have been that way— but it was. The U.S. remained a substantially homogenous nation well into living memory.
As you know, John Jay wrote this famous passage in Federalist Number Two:
He said, in effect, we can make federalism work in this country because we are "one united people -- a people descended from the same ancestors, speaking the same language, professing the same religion," —and he didn't mean Christianity, he meant Protestantism— "attached to the same principles of government very similar in their manners and customs."
This isn't a theoretical point. It goes to the roots of American order. If you think America is an organic nation that has evolved like every other nation, then you have to be careful how you introduce people into it, about immigration policy. Whereas if you think it's a Proposition Nation, sort of like a credit agreement— just sign on the bottom line— you can be much more relaxed about it.
3. This brings me to the third thing that people think they know about immigration which ain't true: that the U.S. is "a nation of immigrants."
Of course all nations are nations of immigrants.
What happened in the US did happen faster than elsewhere— America was put together faster. They did in 200 years what it took England over a thousand years to do.
But that raises the prospect that it can be undone just as fast as it was done— that the American union may not hold together if discordant elements are introduced.
There are two specific qualifications to this "nation of immigrants" idea that I recommend to you:
A. One qualification is that people think that immigration has existed throughout American history. But if you actually look at the data in Alien Nation— I went to the trouble to chart it— immigration is in fact highly discontinuous. There are floods of immigration followed by long periods with no immigration; there are pauses. These pauses were essential to assimilation.
B. It's also true the intellectual elite tends to think America was built by immigrants because they live in New York or Los Angeles or somewhere like that— which are heavily immigrant cities, entirely immigrant cities.
But the last estimate that I saw, when I was researching Alien Nation, was that if there had been no immigration at all after 1790— none at all— the population of the US would still be about half of what it is now, through natural increase.
Brimelow said, “What is a nation? It seems to me the only rational definition is that it has to be an ethno-cultural unit. It is not entirely ethnic— anybody, individuals of any race, can usually assimilate. But it's not entirely cultural either, as we are currently led to believe. There is a substantial ethnic component to a nation. And that has consequences which we are not really clear about, but which we know exist.
“What we face now, with the post-1965 wave of immigration, is an unprecedented act of social engineering being performed by the government. The government is second-guessing the people on population size, because Americans of all races have spontaneously got their family size down to replacement levels. The American population has stabilized, absent immigration— but in fact it's projected to go up to 400, maybe 500 million, by 2050, because of immigration. And also, of course, we are rapidly shifting the racial balance. In 1960 the U.S. was 90 percent white; by 2050, whites will be about to go into the minority.
“It seems to me that it's up to those who favor this to explain why they want to transform America. What do they have against the America that existed in 1965?
“And why don't they explain it to the American people, so we can have a democratic debate about it? Why does America have to be transformed?
“The classic conservative point of view, it seems to me— though you don't see it on the Wall Street Journal Editorial Page— is that if it's not necessary to change, it is necessary not to change. I don't think it's necessary to change the U.S., certainly by as much as is being changed right now.
Alexander Solzhenitsyn said in his Nobel Prize speech that: "The disappearance of nations would impoverish us no less then if all men had become alike with one personality, one face. Nations are the wealth of mankind, its collective personalities. The very least of them wears its own special colors, and bears within itself a special facet of God's design." “It seems to me that the U.S., as it had evolved by 1965, did reflect a special facet of God's design.”
Brimelow finished his speech with, “And I want to know why the government wants to monkey around with it.”
In 1908 President Teddy Roosevelt said, “The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities.”

IMMIGRATION: POLITICALLY CORRECT SCAM JOB By Frosty Wooldridge NewsWithViews.com
When you talk to American citizens rather than politically correct editors, publishers, TV producers and talk show hosts, you get to the heart of the matter. As illegal alien migration and mass legal immigration rage into this country like a “Human Katrina”, every American citizen pays financially. Other costs include cultural destruction, linguistic chaos, educational breakdown, incarceration and medical consequences.
From the heartland in Indiana, Jackie Murray gave several observations that stick in the reader’s craw. He said, “Immigration policies have changed for the worse since the 1960s. Prior to "diversity" being next to Godliness, we imported an orderly stream of people who were pretty much like us! Hardworking, skilled, healthy, freedom loving people who expected to work hard, and turn themselves into Americans. These hopefuls jumped through the hoops at Ellis Island, and in spite of great difficulties became proud Americans. Enter Teddy Kennedy, among others.”
In 1965, Teddy Kennedy authored the “Immigration Reform Act” that cascaded into adding 100 million people to America from the third world in 40 years with another 100 million arriving within 30 years.
“Suddenly we became the country of "diversity,” Murray said. "In order to have "diversity" we had to set our sights lower. The new class of “Americans” was needy. No longer were the traits of hard work, skilled labor, love of freedom, etc. necessary! Instead, only skin color and depth of “need” was assessed. These new diverse Americans weren't expected to pull their own weight. That eliminated the need to be healthy, the need to speak English, the need to have a skill or job. We were told that we must be magnanimous towards those who were less fortunate than ourselves. Clever trick! So we couldn't say anything about the drain on our society, because that made us hard-hearted and selfish.
“Our elected leaders were enamored of their own pseudo- benevolence. I'm sure they smiled and smirked and talked about how wonderful they were for bringing in all these poor uneducated people. In short order America turned from the "land of opportunity" to the "land of opportunists!" This "diversity" began to pit "Americans" against the new "hyphenated -Americans." The more we had to "tolerate" these new people who were elevated over us because of skin color or national origin, the more Americans chafed.
“We hardly import any would-be Americans any more. We import people who want to take advantage of the real Americans, and remain whatever they are. They EXPECT AND DEMAND that we support them because they are different. They are special and can't be expected to have gainful employment. They expect to have their health care needs provided for, their housing paid for, their children to take up space in our schools and be well fed. They expect for Americans to bow down and worship whatever God they decide is best for us. How can we have a cohesive country when "diversity" is more important than character?
“Our leaders seem to have a propensity for bringing in criminal elements as well. Look at the Muslim population that we are catering to! Footbaths and special schools at taxpayer expense while they plot to fly the "black flag of Islam over the universe." Don't say anything though or you could go to jail for "hate speech." The culture of Islam is incompatible with freedom, yet we import more and more Muslims every day.
For anyone who watched “60 Minutes” Sunday night, the U.S. takes in 1,000 Sunni Muslims every month. Over 2.5 million now reside in the America. They’re virtually taking over Detroit, Michigan. As their numbers grow, they will either demand Sharia Law or they will vote it into being within our republic. Sharia Laws stands violently opposed to democracy and women’s rights.
“We don't get to ban foreigners that are criminals either!” Murray said. “Look at the upsurge of violence perpetrated by foreigners. We have Russian gangs, Chinese Tong gangs, Vietnamese gangs, MS 13, the Surenos, the Nortenos, Somali gangs and Jamaican gangs. The list of foreigners who come to this country and defile and terrorize American citizens is shocking. Don't say anything though, because you are a BIGOT!
“Mexicans are by far the biggest problem simply because of the enormity of their numbers. They too are here to take advantage of the freebies! Hard work indeed! These groups of people that are only here to do work that Americans won't do are actually making $50 an hour, if you add all the free perks from the taxpayers into their salary. In return for our generosity we are told to get out of our own country, raped, murdered, robbed, hated and despised and made to press one for English. They are using our system of government against us and voting themselves into power over us. Don't speak out though because then you are a RACIST!
“Diversity as practiced in this country is nothing but a scam, perpetrated by our elected officials to further enslave the American population. It feeds the egos of our Senators, and Congressmen who like to feel that they are the saviors of the world. All it really does is create resentment in everybody, American and hyphenated-American alike. We are resentful because we are just slaves (human capital) for the "new" Americans, and they are resentful because we are not giving them enough, and we are balking at becoming whatever cesspool they came from. Forcing Americans to deal with lawlessness, incompatible cultures, irreconcilable lifestyles etc., just because they are different than ours is sheer lunacy.”
The great philosopher Kant said, “The two great dividers are religion and language.”
The USA cascades into the same internal violence and separation as Lebanon. This journalist receives thousands of letters like this one. Tell me what’s on your mind so I can share it with the nation. As we endure 2.2 to 2.4 million more immigrants annually, when will this invasion of our country stop? The only answer: when you take action!

Illegal Alien Migrants: Why Here, Why They Stay By Frosty Wooldridge January 31, 2008 NewsWithViews.com

IMMIGRATION: LET’S SOUR THE MILK By Frosty Wooldridge March 6, 2008 NewsWithViews.com
Every drink sour milk? Nasty stuff! You spat it out immediately. I'll bet you thought twice before drinking your next glass of milk. What if every glass of moo-juice you tried turned out sour? You would stop drinking milk!
We now host more than 20-30 million illegal aliens – HUGE costs
Today, in America, these illegal aliens line up at the taxpayer paid 'milk trough' for their daily welfare servings:
COSTS REQUIRED BY FEDERAL LAW ($400 BIL/yr) free emergency care, free additional medical, such as prenatal and postnatal care, free birthing-care for their "instant-citizen" anchor babies, free breakfasts and lunches for their children, and free K-12 schooling.
COSTS NOT LEGALLY ALLOWED, BUT PAID ANYWAY ($600 BIL/yr) assisted housing, federally guaranteed mortgages, gas-and-electric cost assistance,
Yes, because illegals enjoy full employment, they receive an average wage of $43K/yr per Paul Harvey, they do pay a few hundred million dollars for FICA (using fraudulent-ID) and sales taxes, so the net cost-to-citizens is a few billion less.
Meanwhile, needy-qualified citizens and their kids suffer as they compete against foreign nationals for services:
One woman wrote: "My grand-daughter is 18. She caught a virus when she was 13 and now has a pacemaker. Yesterday in the evening she started having severe heart pain. My daughter rushed her to St. Joseph Hospital. It took them 4 hours to see a doctor. My daughter said there were so many illegals there (multiple generations); they couldn't be seen in a timely fashion.
One Mexican was sick and they brought the sick person – and the mother, father, three aunts, four uncles, 10 kids, grandparents and a few neighbors to the ER. My daughter said the hospital finally got someone to tell every one "if you aren't the patient, PLEASE wait someplace else." After telling them many times they did go out, but they had already caused a lot of harm by tying up the ER.
They are treated free and my daughter has to pay thousands for her care – and she was born here, legitimately. In triage, my granddaughter was admitted; as a result of effects from the tests, she suffered a heart attack.
How many Americans will have to suffer like this because some idiot, way back when, said we had to give free medical to immigrants?
I am so angry today I want to have open season on all Mexicans, Guatemalans, and the others who jam up the services providers. I pray every day not to remain bitter – and then this happens and I'm off again. I'm trying to tell my generation maybe they can't benefit but what about the grand children?
I belong to a Red Hat society, ladies over 60, and they are ready to throw me out for being so verbal about issues. Yes, I do carry a sign at rallies – and I do make phone calls, write letters and tell everyone who will listen – that our wonderful America is going down the tubes and we desperately need everyone to rally and get things changed.
To improve things, we must start with who we put in office: John McCain ain't it. Neither is Obama, or Hillary. Sorry to run on, but I'm really pissed off today." ~Grandma Sharla We find ourselves in a pickle. Hundreds of letters like this one arrive in my mail box weekly. They all point to the insanity of this continued invasion of our country by the poor, sick and illiterate of another nation – namely Mexico.
What do the illegals enjoy in common? Illegality, criminality, lawbreakers!
The root-cause is the hundreds of thousands of criminal-employers in our nation breaking our laws to entice and hire the illegal aliens.
How do we sour the milk?
First, Mayor Lou Barletta led the Hazelton, PA city council to outlaw illegals by rescinding building licenses from contractors who hired illegal aliens. The town created ordinances against landlords who rented to illegals. Local open-borders advocates filed a lawsuit to fight Barletta, and temporarily stopped the enforcement. They appealed. However, the example set by Hazelton encouraged others.
Georgia, Oklahoma and Arizona
In the past 12 months, three states 'soured the milk' enough to make it 'nasty' for illegals to stay: Georgia, Oklahoma and Arizona. Thank you Chip Rogers, Michael Optiz, D.A. King, Randy Terrell, Russell Pearce, Kathy McKee, Dave Schultheis (CO) and many others in those states. Unfortunately, the illegals have learned that all they can move to another state – to continue the "good deal."
Twenty other states move toward similar approaches.
Colorado should be listed above, but Governor Ritter refuses to enforce HB-06-1023 – so illegals get away with continuing to work and reside in Colorado. Some leaders, it seems, are blind to the financial costs and personal pain now borne by the U S citizen residents. Perhaps Ritter may wait until the next dozen illegals kill, maim, rape or rob Colorado citizens.
Ritter may wait – just like New Jersey's Governor Corzine and Newark's Mayor Cory Booker – as law-abiding citizens watched helplessly while criminal alien MS-13 gang member Rudolfo executed three American college-bound teens.
What do all of these "leaders" support? Sanctuary processes!
We bring this mayhem upon ourselves as we tolerate the misbehaviors of our "leaders." It's only a matter of time before another illegal king-pin kills someone via drunken driving, murder or drug gang execution in your state – and in Colorado.
To stop this nonsense, 'We-the-People' must take action to SOUR THE MILK.
Given enough time, illegals' criminal acts will force more governors and mayors to rescind 'Sanctuary Processes' that give the foreign nationals immunity from arrest and proper prosecution in our country.

Fellow Americans, the year 2008 provides us with a golden opportunity.
Lately, the media screams that immigration is NOT a major problem, quoting from surveys that they say proves the point. They cannot hear you. Instead, they listen to the open-borders progressives.
Like-minded opponents in November; Hillary/Obama and McCain – already voted in the U S Senate for amnesty for more than 20-30 million illegal aliens – at a cost of over $2 trillion. Each of these progressive clowns voted for open borders, plus increasing legal immigration from 1 to 2 million annually, continuing the fatally-flawed processes that have given us crowded hospitals and K-12 schools, seven million "instant-citizen" anchor babies, and unlimited welfare for illegals.
We must sour the milk
We must sour the milk in every village, town, city, county, state and sector of America.
DESTROYING AMERICAN CULTURE: MULTICULTURALISM By Frosty Wooldridge March 13, 2008 NewsWithViews.com
Less than 30 years ago, most everything in America enjoyed the moniker "All American." Sports heroes became "All Americans." When you bought a product, it read, "Made in America." Everyone spoke English and raised their hands to their hearts while saying, "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God with liberty and justice for all."
Our leaders, with their open-borders approach to life, dismantles the fabric of a successful nation. Which is it – free market economy, or forced Multiculturalism?
“Many liberals hear talk of national culture and shout 'Nativist!' first and ask questions later, if at all. They believe it is a sign of their patriotism that they hold fast to the idea that we are a 'nation of immigrants' — forgetting that we are also a nation of immigrants who willingly assimilated and became Americans." — Jonah Goldberg
Today, millions in this country call themselves Hmong-Americans, Muslim-Americans, Korean-Americans, African-Americans, Sudanese-Americans, Bangladeshi-Americans. In other words, they do not hold total allegiance to or loyalty as an American. One of our presidential candidates calls himself an African-American. In fact, he is a Kenyan-American. He grew up in Indonesia until the age of 10. Barack Obama cannot be considered an All-American man by his own words.
Those people with hyphenated nationalities manifest "multiculturalism."
By its very name, it destroys one culture by breaking it into many. It’s like throwing a baseball through a window in a house, fracturing it into many pieces. The window can no longer protect that house from rain, winds or snow. Additionally, with numerous cultures come multiple languages. Linguistic chaos equals unending tension. The writer, Kant, said, "The two great dividers are religion and language."
Colorado Governor Richard Lamm (D) said, "The histories of bilingual and bicultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension and tragedy. Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, Lebanon— all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons and Corsicans."
On the other hand, millions respond and respect their one allegiance as that of being an "American." Thus, we grow as a country at odds with itself. We lose our national identity with every added citizen who calls him/herself a hyphenated American.
Europe provides a peek into our future. Their Muslim-British immigrants stand at odds with everything English. If you visit London, you will find two separate societies. The Muslim-French immigrants balk at everything French. The Muslim-Dutch backlash against everything in Holland. Ethiopian-Norwegians will not assimilate into Norway's culture.
Would you bake a cake by adding mustard, ketchup and vinegar? What kind of a cake would result? Bitter, at odds with itself and discordant! Not to mention it would taste horrible!
Today, America's grand 232 year run fractures, falters and degrades under the march of "multiculturalism." The word sounds unifying, inclusive and respectful. Yet how unified can a nation remain where a foreign language forces its way into our national character? Los Angeles provides a peek into our future where Mexican culture “overtook” its way into dominance.
Maywood, California, one of many American cities featuring 90 percent illegal aliens, illustrates a case in point. From an LA Times article, "6+4 = 1 Tenuous Existence," for a short time, an illegal alien lived with his family in Maywood, but discovered that crime, drugs, guns, prostitution and dilapidated schools made life miserable. He moved into the heartland of America – where he discovered safety in the America of law and order.
"What we weren't able to do in many years in California," Alejandra said, "we've done quickly here. We're in a state where there's nothing but Americans. The police control the streets. It's clean, no gangs! California now resembles Mexico— everyone thinks like in Mexico. California's broken."
Given enough time, via adherence to his Mexican culture, Alejandra and millions of immigrants like him, recreate the same conditions created in Maywood, California. One look at Mexico City's poverty living conditions portends the picture of America's future cities.
A recent PEW report shows America adding 138 million people in four decades. Of that number, 90 million immigrants will reach America's shores by 2050. One in five citizens will be born out of our country. They drag in 100 incompatible third world cultures.
The mind-boggling first question remains: should all these immigrants that arrive from failed cultures succeed in their demands that we respect the injection of their culture and language into ours?
A second question knocks on your brain: what underpins your ability to walk into any grocery store in America and find thousands of food products while, in contrast, millions worldwide starve to death annually?
Answer: those qualities that make up our very successful All American culture!
The third question explodes in an American's mind: why do we choose to maintain a two million annual legal immigration load (2007) from failed cultures that cannot be sustained – PLUS more than double that amount in illegal immigration (2007) – while degrading everything in America toward third world conditions?
In Dr. Otis Graham's book, UNGUARDED GATES: A History of America’s of America’s Immigration Crisis, he writes, "Most Western elites continue urging the wealthy West not to stem the migrant tide, but to absorb our global brothers and sisters until their horrid ordeal has been endured and shared by all – ten billion humans packe |
